We must know about the success story of facebook because Facebook has 2.60 billion monthly active users (Facebook,2020). If this number doesn't blow you away it has 1.73 billion users that are visiting the social networking site daily.
However, we don't require these numbers because we know using Facebook is our daily routine. We all know that we sleep with Facebook and get up with Facebook. So we must know about it.
Another interesting thing that 'why you should know the success story of facebook' is its founder Mark Zuckerberg receives only 1$ salary but he is World's Third Richest Person now.
Although we use Facebook every day there are very few of us who know that 'how mark got the idea of Facebook'? Mark hacked Harvard University database and collected some pics of Harvard students and created a website FaceMash which was set up as a type of 'hot or not' game.

The website allowed visitors to compare two female student pictures side by side and let them decide who was more attractive.
FaceMash attracted 450 visitors and 22,000 photo views in its four hours online.
The site was quickly forwarded to several campus group list-servers but was shut down a few days later by the Harvard administration. Zuckerberg faced expulsion and was charged by the administration with breach of security, violating Copyrights, and violating individual privacy.
Mark observed that his site got hits, not because of girls' pictures it can be found anywhere on the Internet. It got hits because of familiar pics. So Mark came up with the idea of connecting people.
That's why Mark started coding for Facebook 15hrs per day and within two weeks he developed the first version of Facebook. It was launched as 'TheFacebook' on 4th Feb 2004
Earlier Facebook was named as 'TheFacebook' and was only for the Harvard community. Later Mark along with his friends Eduardo Saverin, Dustin Moskovitz, Andrew McCollum, and Chris Hughes formed the company 'The Facebook' and expended in other parts of America.
Later Mark met with American Entrepreneur founder of 'Napster' 'Sean Parker' who became the first president of 'The Facebook'. He advised Mark to change the name from 'The Facebook' to 'Facebook' and the rest is history.

As we know that there is a time in every field that it seems that everything is going to end now. Same happened with 'Facebook'. When Facebook was emerging as a Global Network then three gentlemen from HARVARD Cameron Winklevoss, Tyler Winklevoss and Divya Narendra claimed that Mark Zuckerberg stole their ideas which they have discussed after FaceMash of HarvardConnection which later became ConnectU
They later sued Zuckerberg settling in 2008, for 1.2 million shares (worth $300 million at Facebook's IPO.
The Rise of Facebook
In May 2006, Facebook hired its first intern Julie Zhuo, After a month Zhuo was hired as a full-time engineer. On September 26,2006 Facebook opened to everyone at least 13year old with a valid E-mail address. By late 2007, Facebook had 100,000 pages on which companies promoted themselves.
After then Facebook never looked back and now became a Social Media giant with over 2.6 billion monthly active users.

My views on success story of facebook
Although millions of people are born every day very few of them create a history that the world remembers. Mark Zuckerberg was one of them. The success story of facebook is really amazing, inspiring ad motivating.
Facebook was invented in a room of Kirkland house in 2004. Now the company has $527 billion net worth and 46,268. The journey of Facebook from a single room to one of the biggest companies of the world was not as easy as we think.
There was a time in his life when he thought he had to leave Facebook but he didn't lose hope and now it has become the Social Media Giant.
So my dear friends no matter how hard it is going on Never lose hope & Never give up. Then no one can stop you to succeed.
